PAX East 2012 was bigger and better than ever. With games such as Max Payne 3, Borderlands 3, Spec Ops: The Line, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry 3, and Lollipop Chainsaw being showcased, fans from all over were not disappointed.

The first thing all the convention goers were treated to was a Plant VS Zombies break dancing troop. About every thirty minutes the dance team would perform a ten minute choreographed number. And when they weren’t dancing they were interacting with the crowd and posing for pictures. Check them out in the video below to see them in action.

When you passed security and went through the glass double doors, you were treated to nerd gaming heaven. Video Games, accessories, gaming furniture, clothing, and everything catering to the gaming community were showcased. If you wanted it, you got it.

Pax East 2012 ShowfloorOne of my favorite booths was from the highly anticipated game Borderlands 2 from 2K Games and Gearbox. All four of the games protagonists were showcased in a larger than life display. Many of the interviews conducted by various websites used the base of the statues as a background. PAX East 2012 Borderlands 2 booth

The biggest controversy was the Lollipop Chainsaw booth. Cosplayer and model Jessica Nigri was dressed as the game’s namesake lead character. Last year the Duke Nukem Booth Babes caught flak with being too sexy for PAX East attendees, but were able to slide by because they were dressed as actual in-game characters. This year PAX East “modified” their rules.

Model Jessica who originally was dressed in a super low cut, skin tight, pink, vinyl cat suit was asked to change. So she changed into the cheerleader outfit we have seen in all the game’s trailers. That too was deemed inappropriate. So she finally had to don a less revealing outfit in order to return to her booth. Below are all the costume changes Jessica posted on her twitter.

Did you know you could get a tattoo and a haircut at PAX East? If you stopped by Ubisoft’s Far Cry 3 booth you could do just that. Friday they had a tattoo artist giving tribal tatts to whoever wanted them in order to get a free copy of the game. Saturday attendees could get their heads shaved into mohawks and have the Far Cry 3 logo spray painted red on the side of their heads. They too received free copies of the game for the free advertisement.
