BioWare’s sword-swinging Dragon Age series is returning with Dragon Age III: Inquisition. The company announced that the game has been in development for two years and will be out in late 2013. Aaryn Flynn, general manager of BioWare Edmonton and BioWare Montreal, spoke about the upcoming installment:
We’ve been poring over player feedback from past games and connecting directly with our fans. They haven’t held back, so we’re not either. With Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, we want to give fans what they’re asking for – a great story with choices that matter, a massive world to explore, deep customization, and combat that is both tactical and visceral.
Also of note is that the game will run on the Frostbite 2.0 engine, best known for being the framework for Battlefield 3. There’s no telling what an FPS-leaning engine will do for an action-RPG, but it will certainly look good.
So with another Dragon Age on the horizon, what are you thoughts? Are you ready to embark on a new adventure? Are you hesitant because of the changes between Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II? Let us know in the comments!
Remember: no one expects the Dragon Age inquisition!
