Strike Suit Zero

A common trend with Indie games now is the use of Kickstarter. Not to physical “kickstart” development, but to stick the landing of a well polished product sent out to the market. Born Ready Games achieved their goal of $100,000 and then some to finish funding their project of Strike Suit Zero. Totaling for $174,804 of crowd funded support and heading to PCs on January 24th.

$100,000 wasn’t just to help finish the space-combat/Mech shooter, secondary goals were in place to help push out more content and ports.For the $130,000 goal, that was easily surpassed, modding tools will now be added into the core game. In addition to be compatible with the “virtual reality made actuality” of Oculus Rift. Those who pledged $50 or more to the kickstarter, obtained access to a closed beta of Strike Suit Zero arriving in early December. Unfortunately, the next goal tier of Mac and Linux ports were shafted with a goal of $180,000. James Brooksby, the CEO of Born Ready Games, had this to say at the finality of his team’s kickstarter and community’s support of Strike Suit Zero.

“We are truly grateful for all the support we’ve received and above all else want to thank the community. Their support has meant we’re now able to make the game we’d always envisioned, and we can’t wait for our fans to get their hands on the game.”
