Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, noted in our review, was a good couch combat fan fighter with a couple of nagging issues. Nearing its release, Sony fanboys and internet enkindlers alike whined about the lack of (Insert character from dead/former/unpopular Sony Franchises) into Sony’s IP brawler. Superbot Entertainment came out and declared their working on some more characters and expect them next year (we ran a story about this!).

Well, hang on up until February 12th, for the two character and one map content pack #1 for Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. It’ll be free upon release till February 26th (two weeks), then payment will be in order.

Gravity Rush‘s Kat, and her companion Dusty, harnesses every one of her combat abilities imaginable. Her high flying kicks and aerial assaults seems to add an interesting dynamic in Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. Heh, Kat also controls her own gravity too, which is something to be excited about how Superbot implements it.

The newest Map mash up combines the scenery of Heavenly Sword and later transforms to the gravity bending track with floating cars zooming past players known in Wipeout.

StarHawk‘s Emmett Graves, however, appears to play generic. He’s got the fists, the guns, and tough guy looking for a challenge attitude, bland up until the point his supply drops, erm, drop? Then we see a stationary turret firing at adversaries and new weapons popping out of the pods. And lastly, his level 3 super move comprises of the personal combat mech to further show it’s impossible to avoid that final tier.

Expect a review of these two characters and map following its arrival, probably from the person squatting on a PS1 mascot as a profile icon. Who Knows!
