Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a brand new Japanese RPG made with the combined efforts of Level 5 and Studio Ghibli and published by Namco Bandai.  The Wizard’s Edition was only available through the Namco Bandai Games website.

The Wizard Edition contains a number of expected Special Edition items such as two DLC characters for when you play Ni no Kuni – Golden Mite and Golden Drongo – as well as some artwork and a music CD. The artwork adds a little extra by looking like it is hand-drawn rather than simple screen prints. Unfortunately, the music CD is the weak link in the packaging containing only two song selections. There is also a nicely made “wizards coin” featuring detailed images of the Ni no Kuni title image as well as the main character.

Took a lot for me to open this, such a nice window

The Drippy Plush Doll is a cute and well-made doll of the main characters companion. This is sure to be a favorite of many people and I wouldn’t be surprised to see stand alone plush dolls being sold later.

Securing the Ni no Kuni Wizard Edition’s place as one of the best Special Edition packages I’ve seen, The Wizard’s Companion Hardcover Book contains more than just pretty artwork. Inside this book is a combination art-book, guide and lore-book that makes it a must-have for fans of Ni no Kuni.
