Infinite Crisis

Infinite Crisis is yet another licensed Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (Moba) game where high-profile characters of the universe fight each other. Freshly announced with an imminent release of another game that comes out this week, Bioshock Infinite, the DC Comics Moba comes to the PC potentially later this year.

Warner Bros dappled with this concept before with Guardians of Middle-Earth, which was thoroughly enjoyable, and ups the ante with canon meddling and creating. Here, you’ll see three variants of Batman, Nightmare, Gaslight, and generic (straight up Batman) which, obviously, the developers crafted their own for purposes within Infinite Crisis (with DC Comics assistance). Batman as a blood-seeking vampire? Sure, Joker as a mammoth-sized butcher? Sure, Infinite Crisis seems to not be afraid of getting outlandish.

Even better, they all play differently with unique abilities and play styles. The characters below show off the amount of depth the roster could possibly have, in addition to complete info/back stories on each of the 12 heroes/villains.

Developed by Turbine Inc, known for Lord of the Rings Online, they look to challenge and push the genre with story telling, destructible environments, and a ridiculous number of people to play with. From a press release, Executive Producer at Turbine Inc, Jeffrey Steefel, had this to say about the upcoming PC Moba of Infinite Crisis.

“We are utilizing years of experience in the online game space to deliver innovations to the MOBA genre with a game that features fast-paced action, a major story arc, destructible environments, catastrophic events and a deep roster of iconic DC Comics characters”
