Oh man.  Bioshock Infinite on 1999 Difficulty is no joke.   For those of you not familiar with the 1999 difficulty mode in Bioshock Infinite (then what are you doing reading this?), when you are downed in the game, you lose $100 and enemies get back all their health, which can be a real pain in the butt if you’ve dumped a metric ton of your favorite weapon’s ammo into a mini-boss or motorized Patriot.  Enemies do 200% damage to you (ouch) and your shield takes 50% longer to fully recharge.  Last but not least, if you don’t have the $100 to revive yourself? You die and go back to main screen, which means you have to go back to the last checkpoint (which isn’t too terrible).  This means you spend a lot of money you would have put into upgrades paying Elizabeth to revive you (apparently those syringes Elizabeth use cost money!)

We’re going to go ahead and tapdance here so people accidentally reading the excerpt on the front page dont get anything spoiled for them!

And continued softshoe, maybe a little four part barbershop quartet of “God Only Knows”….dum de dum…

Okay, onto the spoilers.

Between the Lady Comstock fights and the final climactic battle on the deck of Comstock’s zeppelin, no joke.  This final fight, where you defend the zeppelin’s generator for a set amount of time and use the Songbird to take out enemy airships, was a particularly nasty fight.  But have no fear, it is do-able, and if you’ve made it through the Lady Comstock fights, there’s a pretty good chance you can handle yourself on the stern of the airship mowing down Vox Populi members and motorized Patriots.

Here’s how it’s done!
