Batman Arkham Origins

Batman Arkham Origins is one of the many prequels to conclude this console generation, and one to not hopefully not disappoint. WIth it, the story precedes Rocksteady’s versions for Warner Bros Montreal’s earlier take. We got a glimpse of that with the teaser we covered a week ago, this time, the teaser gets fleshed out for a full five minutes of wintery butt whooping.

the trailer shows off faceless goons hiding in a warehouse as Batman ruins their night. Then the inexperienced Batman runs into a series of telling signs of “Not being Batman enough.” Carelessly kicking open a toolbox bomb, struggling to fight against Deathstroke, and ultimately evading death from a rival assassin. It also reveals the mob boss of Black Mask pinning the target on Batman, thus starting the Christmas eve plot of Batman Arkham Origins.

In addition, the long-time voices of Conroy and Hamill are not returning, to a certain extent, but the replacements are quite notable. Origins stars Troy Baker (Booker DeWitt from Bioshock Infinite) as the Joker and Roger Craig Smith (Ezio Auditore from Assassin’s Creed) as a wee bit younger Bruce Wayne. Whoa, so the guy who voiced a mass-murdering assassin with an aggressive Italian accent will voice Batman? We guess so then.

Batman Arkham Origins comes to the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Wii U on October 25th. As well as the Metroidvania Arkham Origins Blackgate for the PlayStation Vita and Nintedo 3DS emerging on the same day.
