Grand Theft Auto V has broken sales records across the board, but there’s one place the game – or any game, for that matter – has yet to find acceptance: mainstream television. That may have changed just a bit this past weekend, as NBC’s Saturday Night Live aired a sketch based on the game during the Weekend Update segment. The result? A shockingly positive and definitely hilarious riff on the parental hysteria that always surrounds the game. Take a look:
It’s rare to see any medium outside of video game enthusiast sites do anything but berate the game, so SNL‘s take on GTA 5 is definitely refreshing. Props, NBC!
