Smash Bros, Nintendo, E3, E3 2014, Nintendo Direct, Masuhiro Sakurai, Mario, Pac Man, Wii U, 3DS, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS

Super Smash Bros. had a huge chunk of limelight not only at E3, but weeks, nay, months leading up to E3, and there’s good reason. Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS is the game a lot of us has been waiting for. It’s been over 6 years since Brawl, and we’ve all been patiently awaiting what Nintendo will be showcasing for the fourth Smash Bros. Well, the wait is far from over, but we did get a ton of new screens and characters to show you, along with a release date for the 3DS Smash Bros, and a vague ETA for Wii U.

3DS owners can take Smash Bros in their pants starting October 3rd for US/EU fans (October 4th for AUS gamers) and a Holiday 2014 release for Wii U owners. We’ll be hard fought to say a bundle for both won’t be coming for both editions, but it seems Nintendo are tight-lipped on the idea for now.

Anyway, let’s get right down to why you’re here: those glorious Smash Bros screens and videos, eh?

But it didn’t end there, Nintendo had one last surprise left in them for later in the evening for Smash Bros fans:

That’s right, Pac Man is here to brawl in Smash Bros!

WHEW, Smash Bros is looking absolutely fantastic, and there’s still plenty of time for more surprises and news, so stick around to Front Towards Gamer as the weeks and months leading to the launch approach!
